The Federation of Middlesex Sports (FMS)
The Federation of Middlesex & City of London Sports was launched in 1988 at the first ever Middlesex Sports Awards by Sue Barker, now the BBC's female sports anchor.
The FMS has since gone from strength to strength in its own very unique way and is looking forward to celebrating its 21st birthday in 2009.
It was founded by Russell Grant, the Lord of Ashford in Staines Middlesex, Fred Griggs and Sir Peter Yarranton, who sadly passed away in June 2003.
The Federation recognises the historic boundaries of the County of Middlesex, twixt Thames, Colne, Lea and Grimsdyke.
